He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce and Bluegrass and Burgoo Festival Committee. In addition, Thomas is a commissioner with the Winchester-Clark County Tourism Commission and president of Hospice East Inc. He is also a past director of Clark County Habitat for Humanity. He has taught agricultural law at the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture for three years.
Thomas says he is running for county attorney because he is concerned with the future of Clark County, especially given the continued use of drugs in this community.
